Tough to make any suggestion... it looks real nice.
Ever thought about adding a portal to give it that front page look?

Yeah, I use Simple Portal for a couple of other small sites.  It's on the to-do list...and a great suggestion.  Thanks!

For a gallery have a look on sm.org for the Aeva media mod.

I use it on my forum and PM also uses it.

The mod also embeds youtube clips into posts and the gallery too.

I also use Aeva on a couple of small sites.  It rocks!!  The conversion from Coppermine to Aeva worries me a little, as does support (or lack thereof?) for Aeva since he went to Wedge.  I'm afraid that mod will age out.  What do you guys think of that issue?  Guess I could always purchase Wedge when the time comes.  :D

I don't know about that. I have an feeling that Nao is not going to publish the mod for SMF anymore when Wedge comes out. He probably will not be interested in SMF any more once he has ported it to Wedge, and released it to the public. I'm afraid that the versions available now are the latest versions we will see...

There is an small chance that someone will take over the mod for SMF and develop it further ofcourse...

Hi there!

I like your theme a lot! But the header feels cluthered. For example, which image is the actuall logo? You don't get that at first sight. Anyways, if you want, I can help you with that. Got some ideas in mind that I would love to try on your theme ;)

Honestly, while I appreciate the offer - I LOVE doing my own coding and work.  BUT - what would you suggest?  In other words, given free reign of it, what would you do?  Naturally being CSS based it looks best in FF and ok in IE.  LOL!  We could always do a sandbox deal where I could throw in your code for us to play around.  :)

I get that same feeling.  Which would be a total shame frankly.  He's a very talented coder...no doubt about that.

No problem! I could also just give some hints, and then you can do with it what you want ;)

To start... I feel that the boardnews and the search box are hiding. You could combine them with the userarea and add 1 border with background around it. That would clean up the header quite a lot I think. I'll see if I can fix that with firebug and upload an screenshot.

Hhhmm....that's a sweet idea.  :)  Personally I'm not the greatest coder, not very artistic, sometimes lack the proper vision to "see" what it will look like....but stubborn enough to keep messing with it until it works.  LOL!!

I did some quick poking around with firebug. This is what came out. Like it?

Also... You gave the userarea an width of 25%. Personally I would use an fixed width for it. Try visiting your site with an mobile phone, and you'll see why :)

Now that I look at it again... It might be better if everything in the userarea got centered...

Perhaps, but I like where you're going with it.  That does look better.  :)

Cheers!

Have fun implementing it. And if you got some coding related questions, then you know where to find me! :)

Thanks!  BTW...I've been working on a Christmas theme.  I made a background image that isn't "bad", but somehow it just isn't "there" for me.  Perhaps you guys could critique it for me?  I'll grab ya a copy shortly.  Don't worry if the suggestion is "start over" since I've thought that a few times myself.  LOL!
